Uruguay scores against Portugal! After an almost goal of Ronaldo, Uruguay scores in a counterattack shortly afterward, with a _ **beautiful** _ header courtesy of Cavani after a great pass of Suarez. Uruguay 1 - Portugal 0. ---

And Cavani scores again in the counterattack! Cavani again! Uruguay 2 - Portugal 1 Portugal seems to be having serious issues with their defense. One thing I am liking of this World Cup is that, generally speaking, the games have been lively and with quite a bit of scoring. Maybe it is because Italy didn’t make it and they have been unable to spread their pernicious influence re: “parking the bus”? ^.^ ---

If Cavani has a calf injury, I’d say it’s highly unlikely that he can play on Friday. He was still limping around at the end. ---

Greece was a recent European champ. 😛 Ronaldo has never had the level of talent around him that Argentina has. Argentina also came within inches of tying the match this morning. They are only a disaster because they have enjoyed so much past success. ---

Neither Brazil nor Argentina have shown particularly dazzling form as yet. Argentina obviously less so and have been rightly dumped out, but Brazil don’t look like world champs.
