Gundogan and Kimmich are wonderful players that almost every national team in the world would kill to have in its starting lineup. But it’s just not the well-oiled midfield machine of Kroos and Reus. ---

It’s really ridiculous to grant 8 minutes of stoppage time in a game with a 6-0 lead and no injuries or VAR breaks in the second half. ETA: well, 7-0, at least good for Spain’s scoreboard. ---

FIFA has been really clear to the referees that they want all minutes contemplated, including time burned in stoppage. But yeah, with a score like that, in the Bundesliga they would typically cut that one right off at time, regardless of what had happened. ---

The announcer for ARD speculated (maybe he has inside information) that FIFA has people outside the pitch with stop clocks who signal the exact stoppage time to the refs. Ok, if they want that, make it official like in basketball or handball, but not in such a backhanded way. ---

In reverse alphabetical order? But some combinations are not possible in Spanish. At least that was more like I imagine a European team to play (have not seen the game, but I read here and in other sites). Over 1.000 passes, over half of them in the oponent’s half. That is a very Spanish world cup record. And seven goals, one for each deadly sin. The last one must have been gluttony 🙂 ---

Muller is a faker too. Busquets has collapsed against intense pressure at Barca. That and lack of an elite striker are the main issues, imo. ---
