Australia having some success getting up the field. The longer this goes without an Argentina goal the better they’ll feel. Argentina will start to be nervous if they head to the break tied. ---

Here are my predictions for the World Cup (now). Without prejudice. Netherlands over USA 2-0 Argentina over Australia 1-0 Croatia over Japan 3-2 Brazil over South Korea 2-1 England over Senegal 2-1 France over Poland 4-2 Spain over Morocco 3-1 Portugal over Switzerland 2-1 Argentina over Netherlands 2-1 Brazil over Croatia 3-2 France over England 3-2 Spain over Portugal 3-2 Brazil over Argentina 3-2 France over Spain 3-2 Brazil over France 3-2 Will I be wrong? Almost certainly so. Anyone else willing to state their guesses? ---

Messi doing Messi things. Quiet before the goal, but that’s classic Messi. Touched backward to him and he places it inside the left post. Keeper probably should have done better, even though he was shielded. ---

All chalk. Sounds good to me. Now I’m 100% Brazil, although injuries are mounting. If they are forced to stick to Dani Alves as right back, that could be a problem. And of course, Neymar’s health. ---

I’ll have to say that goal by Argentina was well placed. The defensive player overextended which at that point was a guess as to where it was going. ---

The teams with the most best players may not win. There are some tenacious teams. But Neymar will be back and it’s hard to see that weakening a team which is strong. Of course there will be upsets not identified. ---
