The first two halves ended up **epically** , and I feel a pang of sorrow for the Dutch team that fought to the end and never gave up. They did a great job… but soccer is like that! ---

And Argentina add insult to injury to Brazil once again. While I’m a Brazil fan, I also like Argentina, and am now rooting for them. I also like France, so that would be my 4th fave. US was #1 but obviously not a realistic one. ---

The consensus here was that Argentina was a spent force after 90 minutes and I thought the same too. Tremendous character from them especially near the end of extra time and then a really solid PK performance for the win. Have to think they will come out of this psychologically a lot stronger and may well go all the way.
