I could have sworn I heard that one team scored 5 points in one world cup match. My daughter scoffs at the idea. I tried to look it up, but cannot find the scores of individual matches. Can someone help me here? ---

Netherlands beat Spain 5 goals to 1 on 15 June, worth three points toward advancing out of Group B in the first round, and worth a 4-goal differential in the event a tiebreaker would be needed (it was not, for Group B). ---

All scores of all matches are on FIFA’s site, wikipedia, espn, etc. ---

Just type _World Cup_ into Google. It brings up a scrollable list of all the games and results. ---

France beat Switzerland 5-2 as well. That match was played Friday, June 20th. ---

There’s also a nice [statistics site](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_FIFA_World_Cup_statistics#Goalscorers) on Wikipedia. Average goals scored per game so far is 2.83. Holland has scored 10 goals in three games. ---
