De Gea looked like shit. I explained to the same friends that he’s probably the best goalie in the world. The guy to my right at the bar was a goalkeeping coach from England, and he had just nodded his head agreeing with me when De Gea made that gaffe. We all had quite a laugh before the angry looks from the others. ---

Watched at home over breakfast. Just before that kick the wife asked ‘who’s that guy?’ I said ‘maybe the greatest player in the world.’ ’ What’s he going to do? Kick it through those ten guys?’ ‘I dunno, maybe.’ ‘Ohh he is pretty good isn’t he?’ ‘Yes dear’ ---
