Round 4 in the hiz-ouse! Mexico vs. USA 1-1 Brazil vs. Belgium 2-0 Japan vs. Turkey 1-1 Korea vs. Italy 0-2 And, as a side note, the US and Turkey win in shootouts. I really want to see the US tie. Their best chance is to just let Friedel go one on one. ---

Irelands fans actually take the field thist ime and literally score the go ahead goal. I take it Hugh Dallas is the Premiership’s version of the NBA’s Dick Bavetta? [Here](http://espn.go.com/page2/s/simmons/020606.html) is Bill Simmons’ summary of his refereeing career - scroll to “Question: What was the most disturbing subplot of the playoffs?” Yanks over Brazil for the Cup. If not now, then 2010 or so. We’ll have the rest of you using proper terminology soon enough - it’s soccer, not football; games, not matches; goalies, not keepers; teams, not sides; and dammit, game clocks are supposed to run _down_ and be stopped during timeouts! Screw this extra-time stuff. Ya know, it is _fun_ being right in the middle of this shit - a free-fire ethnic/nationalistic rant/taunt zone. In the Olympics, one sort of has to observe that sportsmanship and ideals crap, but not in soccer! Where the hell have we Yanks been these last few generations? ---
