What are the PvP rules on RP servers exactly? The description is a bit vague on that point. ---

The RP server doesn’t have specific PVP rules; AFAICT, it just has rules for how to talk with other players. Rules which are, in my experience, being broadly ignored now. At least there’s not yet the constant whining that makes the general channels on other servers so unbearable. Still, I tend to leave the general channels as soon as I log on, and only return to them if I have a question (“Where can I find a staff trainer?”), and log off as soon as I’ve thanked someone for the answer. The PVP rules for other servers can be found [here](http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowGM/?id=mgm000p&v=85). They’re pretty involved, although I’m not sure if the honor/dishonor system has been fully implemented yet. I’m most looking forward to the concept of adding siege engines to PVP play, alongside destructible buildings; that just sounds superfun to me. Daniel ---

until someone else weighs in with a better way, you might want to download [Winzip](http://www.winzip.com) as it has a split feature, which i can’t seem to find on window’s zip. ---

By the way, the game is now lagging to hell and back on many different servers; servers are crashing, etc. This is not a slag at the developers; they have stated they are doing it intentionally to stress the servers prior to release to find any last minute improvements they can make, but it does not make for a fun play experience right now. ---

Yeah, I’m not clear on whether the developers are telling the truth when they say this is intentional. If so–well, Blizzard has always made great games by thumbing their noses at the marketing department, but this may be going a bit far. I think most folks view the final open beta as more of a trial session of the game than as a real beta; people are getting real annoyed that what they see as a trial of the game is so unreliable. But as long as it’s butter-smooth on retail, I won’t bitch. Daniel ---
