My sister is absolutely devestated. She has Cards tickets for the series, but she works most of the weekend. Plus my dad came up just for yesterday’s game and I don’t think he can do that for whenever the next one is. Gotta suck for the fans. ---

While I was hoping to watch the game and I feel bad for everybody who really cares about baseball, I have to wholeheartedly agree with the OP. The War at Home is a prime example of why I don’t watch much network TV at all. Can that show possibly be formulaic? Dopey white salesman guy with three kids (who are all smarter than he is) and a wife who’s way too good for him on a lot of levels. Hmm, never saw a show like that before! Or perhaps it’s because they break the fourth wall with “insightful” commentary from the character’s internal monologue. Ahhh, art! All that being said, it was like a car accident, I just couldn’t stop watching. Luckily, some spirit moved my thumb to the tv off button on the remote in the middle of the 3rd half hour. ---

Look, I’m a guy and I have the normal level of interest in a World Series in which I don’t truly care about either team, but if these delays fuck up normal Fox programming any more I’m going to scream. Give me House back you asshats! ---

You’ll be able to get out of going anywhere you don’t want to go, ever again: “Yes, but I missed seeing the Cards win the World Series for you.” ---
