# Worried about chiroptera. \*\*chiroptera \*\*typically posted several times a day and has for years. In [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=746179) she asked if her heart response doing a treadmill at the gym was reason for concern and I (and others) encouraged her to get to her doctor as what she was describing was indeed concerning (to my read anyway); she was essentially giving herself a stress test and flunking. She took the advice and shared that her appointment was going to be January 29th. Her last post was the evening of January 28th and I have no response to several PMs since checking in to see if she is okay. My initial take was that her doc did a new EKG, found out that she had had one or more “silent MIs”, admitted her emergently for a cath and found something that required intervention. But it’s been 14 days since this typically several times a day poster has posted, coincident with that doctor visit, and a week is a long length of stay for a coronary arterial bypass graft (CABG) nowadays … I know she lives in or near Flint MI and is a house painter and had been a new regular at a local Planet Fitness since the beginning of the year but that (and that she has been an intelligent poster who I have enjoyed reading) is pretty much all I know. I certainly don’t want to stalk anyone. But if anybody knows who she is in real life and can check up on her I’d appreciate it being done and just letting me know that my worries are without cause. Ambi, if she’s a professional house painter, you might be able to track her down via Angie’s List or local contractor ads. … In a totally non-creepy non-stalker way, of course. ☹ I hope she’s ok - I’d also been wondering where she had gotten to. ---

Only trying to keep things light hearted and in perspective. chiroptera is a busy woman and this is just a message board. Being absent for several days is not cause for immediate alarm. Not to say there was no reason to be concerned, I just didn’t think, at that point at least, this situation was dire. ---
