You must have missed the first post in the thread, which quoted people doing exactly that. Now, I’ll certainly grant that comments on an Internet news article are usually full of awful people voicing awful opinions and are not necessarily representative of society as a whole (at least I certainly hope not). Nevertheless, saying you don’t see anyone endorsing mutilation is simply willful blindness. ---

Your poll needs the option “Our society is incredibly sexist against men.” That’s the only takeaway here, simply by the fact that such a thing is considered even quasi-acceptable and little more than a punchline. Yet can you imagine the _outrage_ if we were talking about mutilating the genitals of a _woman_ who cheated? ---

So, if a woman cheated, and her husband used extreme physical violence on her in retaliation, would there be the same praise for his violence? There’s subtle double standards…and then there’s flabbergasting obvious double standards. ---
