Thank God we’re not all judged on the same standard as actors, **worst** actors include someone with 9 awards from 28 Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations and someone with 3 wins from 9 nominations.

Just saw Monster in the theater last night, and I gotta second this support of Charlize Theron.
And no, I’m not dumb enough to mistake a great makeup job for good acting. Not only did she not come off as “Charlize Theron in a lot of makeup”, she gave a brilliantly nuanced performance playing someone who, in the end, was simply a raving lunatic.

That’s a start! But it’s always nice to have professionally taken photos as opposed to movie stills, which can be woeful in quality.

I frankly don’t get the Keanu love. He’s blandly handsome, but in a very forgettable manner. Moreover, there are blocks of concrete that have a greater acting range than Keanu does. God, the absolute nadir was seeing his woooden acting when surrounded by Uma Thurman, Glenn Close, and John Malkovich.
Tarantino is not a bad actor–he’s not a good actor, but in the limited roles he has played, he’s acquitted himself well. I thought he was good as the psychotic Richie in FDTD.
I don’t see how some of these younger male actors get work. Chris Klein, Freddie Prinze, Jr., and Jason Biggs collectively couldn’t act their way out of a paper bag, yet they seem to keep getting cast in films. They must have excellent BJ skills.

I would like to vote for Adam Sandler. Except for the Wedding Singer, which has one of my favorite sound tracks.
Aston Kucher is one of the greatest mysteries I’ve seen in a long time. He must be blowing every director or taking it up the butt from casting directors to get on the big screen. His entire " engagement " to Demi has \*got \* to be planned as a publicity stunt to up his career and pole vault her back in.
By the way, Demi, who is one of the world’s most beautiful women, could not act her way out of box.

Keanu Reeves isn’t the best actor ever, but he’s competent.
The worst actor in modern film history, IMO, is David Mamet’s wife, **Rebecca Pidgeon.** She’s hysterically bad, bad to the point that you begin to wonder if she’s kidding. She is quite a bit worse than even Madonna or Steven Seagal.
Technically I suppose Tom Green is worse, but he’s not so much a professional actor as he is a comic who appears in movies.

**Ruby** , I despised _About Schmidt_. I found it shallow and trite. But even putting the content of the film aside, Jack played an uptight asshole who expresses his one emotion–palpable evil surprise–with a stupid grin! Just like _As Good As It Gets_ (where everyone played themselves), and _Something’s Gotta Give_. The only difference in _A Few Good Men_ is that he didn’t get to have his shit-eating grin out quite so much. He’s a one trick pony.
\*\*Tiramisu \*\*, I watched “All My Children” last summer briefly when they had good writers (before they inexplicably fired them and got younger ones, argh), and the problem with Susan was not the writing. She was just _bad_. Watching her rant about how her youngest child had better have an abortion was just giggle-inducing ridiculous, and it shouldn’t have been, it was a compelling storyline that Kendale’s actress played flawlessly.
If we’re judging on voice like with Tilly, can we please shoot the woman who plays Bianca? Is there some law that says lesbian characters must be portrayed as shrilly as possible?
