I thought I’d revive this thread only to mention that, when Stephen King won some prestigous something-or-other a couple of years ago, he told Terry Gross on NPR that he is a great admirer of Danielle Steele, who was incidentally an excellent writer. Or was it Nora Roberts? Anyway. It seemed oddly fitting.
