Well, I never actually finished it, but I really, really hated “The Blind Watchmaker” by Dawkins. The man may be a brilliant scientist and a decent writer, but he never seems to be able to write a paragraph without coming off as irritatingly arrogant. For the first half of the book, anyway. I gave up on it. I much, much prefer Gould, though he has his writing problems too.
I miss Carl Sagan.
