Iowa governor Kim Reynolds ® has an ad, which unfortunately doesn’t seem to be online, where she talks about how having 10 grandchildren has been a good preparation for being governor. Really? What political stands do you believe in? That’s what people really need to know. ---

Glad to see my state isn’t the only one with embarrassingly stupid political ads. One is essentially “Vote Republican or Nancy Pelosi will RAISE YOUR TAXES!” ---

Steve Knight is running a ad attack on his opponent, and bought the website of [katiehill2018.com](http://katiehill2018.com). :rolleyes::rolleyes: So if you are looking to support Katie Hill, you will be directed to his attack page. Which primarily focuses on the CA Gas tax- which he or her as **US CONGRESS** critters have absolutely no say on. ---

And candidate for KS Governor Laura Kelly is going to raise taxes\* on all your food! And then they start listing a bunch of different basic food items like bread, milk, etc. Which always prompts me to blurt out in my best Gen. Jack D. Ripper voice, “Ice cream, Mandrake? _Children’s ice cream?_” - Any Democrat who wants to restore taxes to where they were before Gov. Brownback slashed them to the bone, is now being accused of being in favor of “the largest tax increase in Kansas history!” ---

Tame compared examples in this thread, but there is an ad running in Minnesota where one of the Republican’s main jabs at the Democrat, said in ominous tones is “she opposes the wall” Every time I hear it I think “yeah, no shit, doesn’t everyone oppose the wall”? I think its one of those “paid for by America First” ads. Do they really think Minnesotans support a border wall? ---

There’s a [disgusting radio ad in Arkansas](https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/ad-supporting-arkansas-republican-caricatures-black-women-n921896) that features two stereotypical black women complaining that if the Democrats take control, black males will be subject to endless white women making false accusations of sexual assault against them. “Girl, white Democrats would be lynchin’ black folk again.” ---

It is educational. I learned that Brett Kavenaugh is a black man, for example. ---

We get some Indiana ads in Chicago, and there’s one that just say “Joe Donnelly voted against Kavanaugh.” That’s it. It doesn’t go into anymore detail than that. ---
