I feel as if I’m violating the rules of this thread by not posting a video (there don’t seem to be any on youtube), but I can’t let a “worst commercial” thread go by without posting this gem: Back in The Day (late 70’s early 80’s) our cable operator carried St. Louis’ local independent station, KPLR. One of KPLR’s major advertisers apparently was a flea market of some kind that attracted a primarily African-American clientele. The commercials had two stereotypically urban, poor, middle-aged African-American women (reminiscent of [Florida from Good Times](http://netnotes.nsuok.edu/webforms/kudos/fantfotos/images/Good%20Times.jpg)) who were digitally manipulated (very poorly) to look like they were sitting on top of the arch. These two ladies were beside themselves with glee over the fact that there was going to be a flea market. Like, they would scream, clap their hands, hug, exclaim with glee about what great bargains they were going to find, etc. ---

While nothing can compete with “Who Needs a Movie?”, anyone who has lived in the Washington DC metro area has been infected with this travesty: [At Eastern Motors, Your Job’s Your Credit](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6CslpftOe4) I’m guessing that they just gave Clinton Portis and Ray Lewis a free car for their five seconds of work. As for honest-to-goodness national advertisements, my vote is for Daisy Sour Cream.
