In 1900 century, this was cutting edge. In 1980, this is crap.
I suppose you have never been brought to your knees for a few days by a microscopic infection, eh?

I wouldn’t say it’s crap. I’d just say it was done a hunnerd years ago. Big difference.
This is what bugged me about Silent Hill. She would get menace by monster variety 1, run around scared and then it would go away. Here comes monster variety 2, same deal. Rinse and repeat. I understand it was based on a video game, but most video games don’t allow you to move to the next level without actually having vanquished anything??
In at least a few of the Silent Hill games, you can pretty much run past the monsters and advance without engaging in combat. There are a few spots where you HAVE to fight, but you can usually just run past the run-of-the-mill monsters.

Whats wrong with just being scary, by the time Aragorn and company got to the fight its basically just the Rohirrim vs the giant elephants and their very human (and presumably scared of human ghosts) handlers. Scary ghosts would have done as well a job at routing them as an inmortal unstoppable army of the dead.
Um…that, and the thousands of orcs that were already inside the city.
IIRC, Marion is shown to be taking off the medallion _before_ Indy enters her bar. Still, I’ll have to re-watch the movie to see if Toht found Marion only by following Indy. Which scenes should I pay attention to?

If you’re right, **Stranger** , and I think you are, then yes, Indy’s adventuring made the whole mess possible.
No, Indy asks Marion if she knows where the medallion is, she slaps him, he leaves, she takes off the medallion which she’d been wearing under her shirt the whole time and hangs it on the candle. Then Toht and the generic local thugs come in, ask her for the medallion, prepares to torture her, Indy returns & saves the day, etc. etc.

[**Teh Forgotten**](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0356618/)

This movie had a great kidnapping mystery going on and then all of a sudden … oh noes! …

ALIENS!!!

Suckiest cop-out of all time.
I’ve heard this complain a couple of times, and I don’t get it. It’s clear early on in the movie, from the point where She and the Dad are talking in the playground about being watched and they show a shot of something in the sky watching them that that’s where they’re going with the plot. How is it a cop out if you just didn’t catch on sooner?

Hey don’t bash that movie tomuch. I was in DUMBO when they were filming part of it. And I was like 30 seconds away from going home with Juillain Moore…

If I’d tried to speak to her…

And she wasn’t on set with her husband…

Who just happened to have more money then me…

And just happedto be better looking…

And was gainfully employed at the time. ☹
