It’s not as bad as most of the other stuff in this thread, but when she got busted for lip-synching on SNL, Ashlee Simpson used every excuse she could think of in the first 24 hours. First it was “my band started playing the wrong song,” then the singing was “just a guide vocal,” then I think she had “throat nodes,” and then she had a sore throat and/or an upset stomach. There was no excuse for her dancing. ---

How about ‘Discussing Uganda’, which is a euphomism for having illicit sex whilst supposedly acting an official capacity. Googlin turns up lots of referances. I would suggest reading Furman’s “Murder in Brentwood” before passing judgement. Bailey might just be a little prejudiced on the subject. Note that OJ was found guilty in the civil trial. Say what you will about Furman, his second book “Murder in Greenwich” helped get Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel convicted in a very cold murder case. ---

I gathered that Bailey’s argument was that Furman had been specifically told to stay out of the investigation but managed to pop up with vital evidence whenever required. He wasn’t arguing for OJ’s innocence, just pointing out that an effecient investigation would not have allowed Furman to find all the evidence, ---

I should add that I think that the likelihood that OJ is guilty is the same as the likelihood that tomorrow the sun will rise in the East. ---
