Adrienne Delaney, the protagonist from _Phantasmagoria_–one can hardly call her a heroine, since _everything is her fault_. She’s slow. She’s whiney. She’s petty. She has an annoying voice. She can’t jump two feet, but she can cling to the edge of the pit for five minutes, whimpering, before falling. She’s too stupid to learn that yes, touching the electric chair hurts, just like it did ten seconds ago. And certainly too stupid to put things right before her screw-up kills everyone around her, even if the player is sitting at the keyboard, begging her to do some painfully obvious or logical thing that will help salvage something–anything–out of the mess. The ending sequence of the game was one of the few times I have ever regretted getting something right on the first try. Despite the fact that Adrienne was clueless, and despite the fact that that there were obstacles in the way that she had previously refused to even _try_ to bypass, she came out of it alive. By then, I hated her so much that I _regretted winning_. So I had to reload the save and let a demon rip her to shreds. In fact, I imagine that by the time I stopped reloading, even the demon was sick of it. I picture it looking plaintively at the screen and saying, “Dude, enough. This isn’t fun anymore. If I have to listen to her dying whine one more time, I’m gonna take holy vows. I want to get back to Hell and take a nice lava bath. Maybe scrub under my claws with brimstone to get the stupid out. That shit might be contagious.” ---

Yes, you could get That Gun in Fallout 1, but only one. It was a reward for clearing out squatters in some guy’s house. He was located in the Hub, south of the Iguana on a Stick stand. The battle was pretty hard for keeping my NPCs alive. I had them camp on the other side of the house as I opened the door and trailed my attackers around the corner while my NPCs rushed to my aid. Even then I didn’t get them strung out enough to make it manageable. Gun was worth it though. ---

I’m the first person here to say Garrosh from WoW? Granted, he’s gotten better post-Cataclysm. At the end of the Stonetalon Mountain quests he kills an orc general who killed a bunch of innocents in the name of the Horde and I agree with his reaction to what Sylvannas is doing, but for most of the story he’s been a violent, immature brat.
