In my house, Rosh Hashanah simply meant we got a free day off school and a trip to Grandma’s. Yom Kippur meant the same, only we had to remember to eat before we left the house because Grandma wouldn’t feed us until sundown. Mom only converted to make Grandma happy, so I blame my Dad for making me a terrible Jew. 🙂 ---
