I’m a banana slug, too. And I’ll have you know that every UC Santa Cruz freshman learns some important facts about their mascot. Such as they are hermaphodites, and they tend to have sex with both parts at the same time. However, their phalluses can become as big as their bodies. Often they get stuck together and have to chew off their penises. Now I love being a banana slug, but really I think it was just to keep people from stepping on/salting/throwing the many disgusting looking banana slugs around campus. ---

I’m a **Cornjerker**. 1986 grad, TYVM. Yep, I admit it… And our mascot, of all things, is **Jerky** , the Cornjerker… a big ol’ ear of corn running around with track shoes, a football, basketball - whatever sport you happened to be enjoying at the time. That may all change with the possibility of one or more area schools merging - some folks don’t want to give up their mascot for another’s. ---

Sadly, I cannot recall the mascot, but Edenton, NC has a John Holmes High School. Not kidding. Maybe it’s better that I don’t recall the mascot… ---
