People still quibble over that title choice, despite this being a children’s book about a school for wizards with a magical train ride and many other fanciful notions? Why? ---

I disagree that the quality of a title is related how well it explains the plot but I think your example of _Faster, Pusscat! kill! Kill!_ is interesting because I have no clue what it is about and can’t even really hazard a guess. Contrasting with _Room_ which gets you a decent way there. ---

_Licorice Pizza_. I grew up with the record stores but the film still has nothing to do with the title except a correlation with Southern California and the 1970s. ---

_Blade Runner_ is, I think, a terrible title because it’s meaningless. Though the title of the original novel isn’t much better; _Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?_ ---

Blade Runner is a great example. It is the more violent sequel to Kite Runner? A comedy about an Olympic skater that wants to compete in the summer Olympics (Starring Will Ferrell?) A biopic about Oscar Pistorius? Or a futuristic movie about android assassins? ---
