_They_. I watched that entire movie, waiting to find out what was going on…and then…nothing. No explanation of it at all. Just…suck. Lots and lots of suck.

I was dragged to _ **Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights** _ that made everything else I’ve seen this year seem like Shakespeare.
Everytime I see a movie I now call the person who dragged me to that one and say, “at least it wasn’t Dirty Dancing”. The only thing stopping her from killing me at this point is that she just moved halfway across the country 😃

A while ago, against my better judgement, I agreed to see _Raising Helen_. I understand that relationships involve compromise, but that request was nothing short of brutal.
I can think of a number of things I would rather have done that day. Removing my own appendix with a butter knife and a shrimp fork, for example.

Oh God, yes. Note to whoever made that festering heap of donkey droppings: The Punisher is _not_ slapstick comedy, even when Garth Ennis is writing.
AvP wasn’t that bad. Shrek 2 really, really was that bad.

I haven’t seen many moves in theatres this year, on account of being busy in school and spending summer in a national park and thus a long way from any movie theatre. For the record, the others I’ve seen are _The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Ella Enchanted, Spiderman 2, Hero, Kill Bill Volume 2,_ and\* Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.\*

Probably **The Hours**. I have nothing against that sort of film, but this version was tedious.
Honorable Mention: **The Big Bounce**. It probably could have been a good film if they had stuck with an R rating, but they obviously cut out a lot about the relationship to get a PG-13, and it was just plain dull.

Then again, I did watch **Piñata: Survival Island** last night which was about a killer piñata going after co-eds. Still, it out-acted Matt Damon.

**Spartan**. With Val Kilmer. I didn’t rent it, but I was convinced to watch this pile steam for about an hour. I was so bored that I had to bail and hit a Taco Bueno.

[Nope.](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0360009/combined) It’s a David Mamet written/directed kidnapping movie, which means it is more talking than chases/explosions. It’s on my to-watch list, but I like Mamet. YMMV
