Apparently a production company called Ark Music Factory has casting calls for 13-17 year olds to sing their songs and become the next Justin Beiber. Here is their first hit(?) with almost 150 million hits. Two things to notice: 1. With Black’s nasally voice and these god-awful lyrics, Miley Cyrus singing Ice Ice Baby would be a HUGE step up. 2. Notice the like to dislike ratio So if you think you can take it, I present Rebecca Black singing [Friday](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CD2LRROpph0). Don’t say you weren’t warned. ---

I don’t mean to offend, but have you been out of the country or something? This song has been in the top ten on iTunes and been a media “sensation” for months. Nevertheless, you may be right. It is an annoying little ditty. ---

I know it’s old but there’s no thread about what the video teaches us 1. Cereal goes in a bowl 2. The order of the days is Thursday then Friday then Saturday then Sunday 3. Rebecca is dating a black guy in his 30’s and she is like 16 or something 4. Deciding whether to ride in the front seat or the back seat is the hardest choice a human being has to make ---

I have two radio stations programmed into my car: NPR and the local hard rock/alternative station. The only time I hear pop radio is at Vikings games or (rarely) on Craig Ferguson or Talk Soup. I’m really, really glad sometimes that I’m totally pop music clueless. ---
