I remember those uniforms! They were great. I mean, yes, they looked garish and loud and tacky, but it was clear that that was exactly what the designers were going for. Those unis said, “Hey, we know the rest of the world thinks our sport is silly. So what? We’re embracing it!” ---

Yeah, I think it’s great that they don’t mind looking tacky. But there’s tacky, and there’s so tacky that Don Cherry wouldn’t wear it. ---

Tacky is tackier when you don’t know you’re tacky. I think a “Franchise achievement award” is due to the Arizona Diamondbacks, who in just 24 seasons of play have sported some of the most gobsmackingly hideous uniforms to ever drape ballplayers in recent MLB history. ---

It’s not going to win for ugliest because of the simple color palate. The Norwegian Curling Team uniforms were designed by [Loud Mouth Golf](https://www.loudmouth.com/), which has sponsored John Daly (and some lesser known golfers) for years. Go to their website to see their wild prints Speaking of Golfers (which rarely wear uniforms), the [Sunday shirts](https://austads.com/pub/media/wysiwyg/BlogImages/Ryder-Cup-Ugly-Outfit-1999-v3.jpg) for USA’s 1999 Ryder Cup team are widely regarded as the worst golf attire ever. ---

I’d argue they also dragged their rival OSU Beavers along with them. I don’t know that the Beavers’ uniforms ever reached the level of neon clown suits that Oregon was sporting but some of them were pretty bad. ---
