_Anything with one or more of the following words in the title: Brady, Partridge, Scooby, or Extreme._ Actually, I quite like Most Extreme Elimination Challenge (aka MXC) Another horrible show (though I never dared watch it) was… **Pink Lady and Jeff**. The promos for this late-70s variety-show nightmare (Pink Lady were two japanese girls who not speak English) were sickening. ---

That horrible Fox(?) show **Superstar** , where they picked the worst of the worst singers and put them on stage, convincing them they were the next American Idol. Then, to keep the audience from booing them off the stage, they told the audience the singers were cancer survivors. Talk about manipulation and cruelty from the word go. ---

It could be. I only saw part of one show, but what I read about it in the papers and online led me to believe they told the audience the singers had had cancer. ---

[The Tammy Grimes Show](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060032/). What a dog. And in an ironic twist, Tammy Grimes had originally been picked to star in a new TV show, “Bewitched”, but gave it up for this one. And the actor, who played her twin brother, had also been picked to star in “Bewitched”, but cancelled to do this show, which lasted all of 4 episodes. He was Dick Sargent, and he had been slotted to play Darrin. Which he eventually did. ---

Ah, that’s just an update on the classic _The Gong Show_. Now, how have we gotten this far without mention of _Petticoat Junction_ and _Green Acres_? And I’m going to have to throw down on _Alice_ and _All In The Family_, too. There was no one in either of those shows who wasn’t as grating as fingernails on the chalkboard. _Family Feud_ was pretty damn awful (Richard Dawson was such a scumbag), and any show that features Bea Arthur in any way, shape, or form should be irrevocably erased from the collective consciousness for the good of future generations. But the worse, bar none, of American television: _Hee-Haw_. I defy anyone to find a show more utterly awful in every respect. I shudder just at the thought of it. And somehow, every time we went over to my maternal grandparent’s house, it was always playing, which no doubt contributes to my lack of enthusiasm for that side of the family. Hee-ha…oh, no, please.
