Original record. I wasn’t aware there were even remixed versions.

> Anyone remember the Frogger song that came out? There was a very brief rash of video game related pop songs in the '80s. I’m fairly certain that there was a Pac Man one. The only thing I remember about the Frogger song was some schmuck wailing “Go, Froggy, Go!”

Ok, here we go.

“Pac-Man Fever” released by Buckner & Garcia. My copy is copyright 1982.

It has:
Pac-Man Fever
Froggy’s Lament
Ode To A Centipede
Do the Donkey Kong
Hyperspace
The Defender
Mousetrap
Goin’ Berzerk

Many authentic video game sounds too. Very cool.

Hey! I liked Marble Madness. I had Marble Madness on the Amiga. 🙂

I liked Q-Bert. And that one where you fenced in areas of the screen to confine a moving line. And Omega Race. And Stargate and Defender.

I thought [Tempest](http://www.gamearchive.com/Video_Games/Manufacturers/Atari/tempest.html) had one of the best and most responsive user interfaces ever.

If you get the idea that I liked games that were outside what became the dominating first-person shooter gentre, you are correct.

I’m with you **Sunspace**. Those games are not just good, but were fantastic and original.

The games I didn’t like were the ones made by the company that made Tapper, which was their only fun one. Wacko, Timber, and Domino Man were all craptastic games.

I agree with the above two. Great games. How can you not like Q\*Bert? It’s a beautifully simple and elegant game, an absolute classic and essential component of video gaming history.

_ET_ for the 2600 is easily the worst game ever made.

_Club Drive_ for the Atari Jaguar may very well be the worst driving game ever. Fortunately, only the unlucky few ever had a Jaguar, much less played this train wreck of a game.

> How about [Amidar](http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?letter=A&game_id=6883)? I get the impression this one was pretty unpopular. I remember after the one time I played it, my younger brother chided me about wasting a quarter to play such a stupid game.

I remember Amidar! My grandparents gave it to my brother and I as a gift when they came back from wintering in Florida. It was a pretty dull game, but we played it anyway. It was nice of them to buy it, after all.

Gimme a buzz if you ever have MP3s of those tracks.

In the meantime, you can buy the modernized CD [here.](http://www.bucknergarcia.com/ecxform.htm) It’s not really a “remix” as much as it’s a re-recording of the original album, but as I said before, I liked the original versions more.
