Check out the post by **Diogenes the Cynic** in which he calls Fox News “especially” racist because the anchors, while not _saying_ anything about race, and while showing the exact same helicopter footage of looters as every other cable news outlet, somehow…_somehow_ manage to send out that ‘racist’ vibe. You were busy not denying you were a generalizing bigot and advocating summary execution of people without jury or trial of people you refuse to acknowledge as being desperate, homeless for stealing objects from abandoned stores. But I’m sure if the apocolypse ever stops on your doorstep, and you have a family to protect from a city falling apart all around you, you’ll be the shining example too noble to break the law and feed, clothe and arm yourself with stolen merchandise. Weather has stripped these people of safe homes, they’ve been withoutn electricity for days and the outlook is not good for weeks, they’re willing to rob hospitals, and you can’t see how this situation is desperate? The looting started right after the hurricane and most people assumed that New Orleans was fairly safe. Desperate conditions will make it worse but that isn’t the primary motivation for these people and it didn’t start it. Things will get worse and much more dangerous as people compete for necessities like water. Looking at it from a bleeding heart perspective isn’t going to help anyone. We need action which is not limited to but including a show of force. I used to live in New Orleans. There is a subculture of impoverished black males that are very opportunistic and dangerous. If you have never be to New Orleans for any length of time, don’t shake your figure at me. New Orleans has a unique stratification of black society that doesn’t exist anywhere else. I saw two different couples get mugged by them on seperate occasions. One of my ex roomates almost got killed when they broke down her door one night. Too many examples to list really. \*I suppose I have to give the whole disclaimer. Most black people in New Orleans are not thieves, murderers, vandals, or carjackers. It is only a very small percentage that account for the serious trouble. ---

Here’s a question: say I see someone come out of that Winn-Dixie with two shopping carts filled with food and water and whatnot. Let’s say I rob them at gunpoint and take their stolen loot. Is that wrong? ---
