Sorry for the long thread title. Michael Vick will not be working with children at the Boys and Girls club. Would a non celebrity felon typically be able to get this type of job? In particular, a felon who was found guilty of a violent act as Vick was.

Sure, after a longer rehabilitation period, I could believe it more. But, Vick is still serving his sentence!

I dunno. The linked article said Vick was involved with that outfit as a kid. Maybe they like the “I was here, made it, fucked up, now I start over” vibe. Was it up to me, I’d have him stripped, rolled in hamburger, handcuffed, and thrown in a pit with hungry dogs.

His conviction was for an animal abuse crime, not for anything involving abuse or sexual exploitation of children. That may make a difference in allowing him to work with children.
