How does the accompanying “roll eyes” smiley translate in China?
If you secede, you become a foreign country, that’s the whole point of the exercise. And if you’re an American who lived in America and owned land in America, suddenly your land is now in another country and America is telling you ‘sucks to be you, move to America if you want us to do anything’.
If it won’t change anything significant, then why bother with secession in the first place? If it is worth the effort to secede, then obviously something will be different, and arguing that it won’t be different doesn’t make a lick of sense.
