# Would it be possible to have a ‘hide this thread’ feature on this board’s software?

Obviously, this isn’t anything that could or will happen soon, getting the board stable and keeping the SDMB open are the two priorities for the SDMB.

But, in a future perfect world, does the software allow for a hide this thread feature? There’s no reason to put the member on an ignore list just to hide a particular thread that triggers awful memories whenever I see the title.

I will freely admit I know nothing about how software works.

To my knowledge, there isn’t such a feature on vB. There is a way to do a New Posts search and hide an entire subforum.

If you’re using a computer / web browser and can install browser extensions, there’s a greasemonkey / [tampermonkey](http://www.tampermonkey.net/) script that **Big T** wrote that lets you hide a thread.
