This does seem a pretty fair description of the rhetorical style of the “clever adolescent” wing of punditry. I’m thinking of Thomas Sowell & Monica Crowley here. They love saying stuff that’s completely off base & watching dumb people swallow it. Their wicked smiles after they lob a whopper betray them.

Are you OK with making crap up because you lost an election, in hopes of fraudulently “invalidating” it? Because that’s where we are.

Look, the GOP were going to lose in 2008 no matter who the Dems put up. You didn’t lose to Obama, you lost to your own party’s reputation as corrupt & foolish.

> More typical libtard lies. They examined a COLB, but NOT THE ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Go look at the picture posted at the Factcheckorg website, you imbecile! It’s a picture of a COLB, not a longform birth certificate!

FactCheck examined – in person – the document that is public record.

The Director of Hawaii’s Department of Health examined the original document. So did the Registrar of Vital Statistics. So did the Republican then-Governor of Hawaii.

Now you prove that they did not examine the original certificate.

You are an imbecile and a liar. In fact, I do not believe that anyone as stupid as you are would have the ability to operate a computer, nor to (shockingly) string together words in complete sentences. The obvious conclusion is that you are deliberately trolling this board, and masturbating furiously at the bites you’re getting. You’re probably a sock puppet of some banned poster.

Prove you’re not.

[Here](http://documents.nytimes.com/obama-s-1983-college-magazine-article#p=1) is Barack Obama’s thesis paper from Columbia University, published March 10, 1983.
Not bad for a future Nobel Peace Prize laureate. I agreed with his thesis.

I know which hospital I was born in and the name of the doctor who delivered me. So did my father and my grandmother and my great grandparents, and so does my mother and my aunt and my brother and sister and stepmother now. Most of their close friends at the time did too, or at least they knew the hospital because they visited my mother while she was there. And there are photos.

Was no one involved in Obama’s birth and his mother’s convalescence except his mother and the hospital’s staff? None of this stuff should even be an issue, unless the circumstances of Obama’s birth were so extraordinarily odd that we appear to have no first hand accounts of events in the hospital during the week or so he and his mother would have been there (provided they were they still keeping mothers that long then).

The fact that there is so much out of the ordinary mystery surrounding his birth and the primary birth record is what is causing all the uproar. Why do Obama and his supporters insist on dancing on the head of a pin by pointing to the secondary document and hanging their hats on the fact that it’s considered ‘official’ enough to get a driver’s licence or passport. That isn’t the question. The question is, where is the original document? And if it’s not where it’s suppposed to be, why not?

> [@Johnny L.A.](#):
>
> The original document does exist. People have looked at it. Who? The people whose job it is to verify these kinds of documents. You don’t get to look at them because you do not have Need To Know, and it is contrary to Hawaii state law to release them.

_I_ don’t want to see them; I haven’t asked to see them; and I don’t expect to see them. But I do wonder, given that important Constitutional issues turn upon its existence, why an exception hasn’t been made in this case either to release it or provide a copy of it in order to settle the question and disarm challenges to Obama’s qualifications to hold office.

> Look, the GOP were going to lose in 2008 no matter who the Dems put up. You didn’t lose to Obama, you lost to your own party’s reputation as corrupt & foolish.

You’re jumping to false conclusions. I’m not personally invested in this issue, and prior to this thread had paid it only scant attention, since it’s apparent that whatever legal challenges were made prior to Obama having taken office were insufficient to prevent his inauguration. What we’re discussing now is whether the so-called “truthers” are “morons” for continuing to have questions about the issue. To me the situation is similar to people who still had questions about the validity of the 2000 election. I never regarded them as morons simply because they continued to have questions about the election even though in a legal sense the issue had been decided. Court rulings are not necessarily the be all and end all where facts are concerned. All courts do is rule upon the facts that are known at the time and deemed admissible. They don’t necessarily have all the facts that exist.

And now I’ve got to go do some stuff so those who are so inclined can now write posts claiming I’m running off in embarassment over having lost the “debate,” but we all know differently don’t we? You know, just so we’re clear about that. I’ve been quite unambiguous about my thinking in this regard and should someone actually post irrefutable evidence one way or the other, I’ll happily amend my stance accordingly. But as it stands now, there are enough odd circumstances surrounding the question of Obama’s birth that I cannot in good conscience state that I regard people who challenge the constitutional validity of it to be “morons.” But thanks for asking. 🙂

The original archived document has been verified by the State of Hawaii.

Look, you retarded simpleton. I’m gonna explain this to your dumb ass just one more time. Go look at the fucking picture, you illiterate imbecile. That is a COLB, not a birth certificate. [Factchek.org](http://Factchek.org) is owned by Annenberg, of which Obama and his terrorist mentor Bill Ayers were directors. Compromised source. That’s the first thing. Second, they stated on their webpage that they examined the “original birth certificate”. That is a lie. They examined a COLB, not an original birth certificate. If you don’t know the difference then go fucking research it. I covered this already.

First, I covered this before. Take a reading comprehension course. Second, it is not enough to take a politician on his or her word. Third, some of what they said was not literally that they saw the original birth certificate, but that it was recorded “according to Hawaiian law” which is obfuscations-speak and could mean simply that a COLB was registered but no original full long form certificate.

Enough from the retards. I tire of wasting time on them. I want to hear from Elucidator and others who have made false claims about me to back their claims and claim their reward money. Because all the liberals here do is obfuscate, evade, and insult. I have been accused of:

1. Hating America
2. Hating Hawaii
3. Citing Newsbusters
4. Claiming Obama was born in Kenya
5. Claiming Obama was not born in the USA

Now I am once again calling out those idiots…Kyla, Elucidator, etc…to prove those claims by posting a link quoting me saying any such thing. I will award $500 to anyone who can prove those claims by quoting me having said that.

Enough of the run around and obfuscation. We need to see if those who are clearly liars are capable of owning up to being liars.

Are you reading this fucking thread AT ALL. The exsitence of the _original dicument has been verified by the stae of Hawaii_. The cite for this has been provided. Apparently birthers havce some kind of brain damage that doesn;'t permit them to see facts in fronmt of their fucking faces.

But, but…I thought the hospital wouldn’t let anyone look at it. So if it’ll let these people see it, why not just release it for all to see? Wouldn’t you regard that as prudent, given that constitutional issues are involved? Wouldn’t you expect Obama himself to call for its release just to put an end to the speculation, again given the fact that constutional issues are at stake? People don’t want to have to trust the word of government bureaucrats or some governor, they want public records to be publicly available, and birth records are public records. Even if they aren’t to be handed out, which would be understandable in order to prevent their permanent loss, they can at least be copied and the copies released. What is the big reason for keeping these original and admittedly-by-you somewhat different documents secret? It’s the stubborn and apparently baseless refusal to cough up images of the absolute and entire original document for public scrutiny that is at the root of the problem, and people are not morons for wondering about it.

Uh, that is not what the old COT is only doing.

What it is clear to me is that most of the conservative people in leadership positions have dropped the issue and are calling the ones still trying to make hay of it cranks or something worse.

I can question the validity of the 2000 election but only to make the point that we need to do better in future elections. As for making exceptions, are you ignoring on purpose that very few presidents had such an odd request done before to them? And add to that that the courts and the legislature already dismissed the best evidence the birthers brought forth or voted already to declare that Obama was born in Hawaii and then one can notice that this discussion is just a 2009 reheated baloney.

It wouldn’t settle the question or disarm challenges, though. First, a birth certificate has already been released and it did not do that. There is no reason to believe that a birth certificate in a different format or typeface (or whatever magical quality this so-called “long form” has that differentiates it from the valid certificate already released) would change that. Second, as I pointed out earlier, many birthers also think that having a parent who was not a US citizen disqualifies him. They also think that the possibility that he was a dual citizen for part of his life disqualifies him. There is no way to win.

An irrelevant artifact of the country’s comnvention of registering all students under the name of their putative fathers. It was never his legal name. The birth certificate (that Obama already released) was made following the procedure set already in Hawaii and many other states, the law clearly says that the state does not need to produce any other documents for 3rd parties. Specially when there are laws that prevent that release.

You thought wrong. You are misinformed. Hospitals do not hold birth recotrds. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Yay! I found a contradiction. I think you need to take a reading comprehension course. A logic course might help. Then, maybe, you’ll know what a contradiction is, among other “common words”.
Put it all together now, dumbass: It is not enough to take Obama on his word whether he was eligible.

No, he was a pretty popular doctor and many of my parents’ friends used him when their kids were born.

Friends, acquaintances, friends and acquaintances of friends and acquaintances…and hospital staff. I’m twelve years or so older than Obama but for most of my life there were any number of people who could provide information of events surrounding my birth.

Okay, fine. Where is everybody else? Where are the hospital staffers who may remember him or his mother? Where are the family friends who were close to his mother during that time and visited her? Why doesn’t there seem to be the type of informational clutter that one would expect to bubble to the surface when America elects its first black president?

I’m not spouting any bullshit. I’m just asking questions and giving my take on why some of the answers seem at the very least incomplete.

Certainement.

Or perhaps they just don’t want to have to take a bureaucrat’s word for it that a record which ought to be publicly available exists.

Yes there are. I’ve just listed some of them.

Apart from the fact that Obama’s original birth certificate is apparently to be kept from public view at all costs. There may be a good reason for this, I don’t know. But I find out I’m gonna be wondering.

i Disagree. Politics is at the root of it, not Obama’s race. This nation’s conservatives would embrace a qualified black candidate just like they have a Supreme Court justice, an Secretary of State, and a Republican party chairman. The alleged racism involved in this issue is a liberal political deceit, as are almost all of its claims of racism.

Well, I don’t know but what I’ve read. You could be right. But whoever’s holding it, certainly is refusing to make it available to the public.
