You cannot assign power to words. We are not school children to snicker and giggle at the word fuck or tit. As adults we must take responsibility for our actions and words are just words until we use them as a tool or weapon.
Nigger, spic, wetback, chink, flip, greaseball, jewboy, towelhead are all just words. We cannot shrink from them as if they had a life of their own. We cannot demonize them, allow them to be the determinant of a persons intent. They are just words. the sooner you get over them, the sooner you can get over this barrier of prejudice because once you realize that words cannot physically hurt you, then you begin to take the power away from the people who try to use them against you.
