I do not know how Nietzsche felt about real, live, flesh and blood Jews. His writing WAS filled with denunciation of the Jews for the basis of their religion, which (of course!) is ALSO the basis of Christianity.
See, when Nietzsche mocked the Jews and their God, no Christian reader can possibly come away thinking, “Nietzsche is talking about Goldberg and Cohen and Rabinowitz- he’s not talking about ME!” On the contrary, to Niezsche, Christians are the ultimate Jews, in that they’ve embraced a God who treats meek subservience as a virtue.
Nietzsche didn’t believe ANY gods exist, but he sort of liked the old-school Nordic pagan gods, whom he regarded as life-affirming. To him, Odin and Thor were harmless myths who encouraged men to drink, sing, dance and feast. He had nothing but disdain for those who wanted everyone to hold hands and wuuuuv each other.
Interestingly, he held secular communists and socialists in equal disdain. He thought they were even more pathetic and delusional than Christians.
