Chicago? I’m there! Anyplace with a beach? Count me in! Some country I’ve never visited? Definitely! Some place warm, during the winter? When do we leave? Nebraska? No, sorry, not even if you were buying my plane ticket. Some other, more exciting destination - definitely! If it turns out I’m not enjoying the Dopefest (I don’t drink, after all!), what the hell is there to do in Nebraska? Watch crops grow? ---

I’ve been to Nebraska. Nebraska is boring. Stultifyingly, terminally boring. Can you imagine what would happen if all the creative energy of all of Doperdom was concentrated in one place…and we got that bored? We’d either change the world…or end it. ---

I’d only come if servers were set up so we could all post to the board while we were there. I’m not sure I could handle real people. But seriously I’d be there and both of my carryons would be booze. ---

If California passes the marijuana legalization thing, I move for a change of venue. There are dozens of dopers I’d like to smoke a joint with, in a situation where such was legal. ---

Definitely! I enjoyed the few NYC mega-fests I went to; we’re a fun and odd group of people, we dopers. My girlfriend lived in South Dakota before coming here, and I flew in and out of Omaha, NE pretty cheaply. ---

I was going to come but… seriously you won’t pay for hotel rooms? Cheapskate I wouldn’t have minded seeing that Crescent Lake national park but I’m in a huff now ---
