You seriously need to get over yourself.

Not only are you NOT the only Canadian on this board, you are NOT even the only aspiring athlete to have ever had hopes of breaking into professional arena. I think you think that makes you superior in some way. I assure you, it does not.

People are being quite patient with you, actually, trying to get you to realize why you’re being wrong-headed in your homophobia - separate shower stalls idea notwithstanding.

Your only defense (so far) is that you know others who are homophobic so it’s not just you. Oh, and your _feelings_. None of that makes you right so don’t act all shocked when people point out that racists use the same defensive argument and they are equally in the wrong.

Also, what gives you this idea that gay/bi dudes are so narrowly focused on the penis? I hate to break it to you, but every gay/bi dude out there has seen a penis before (except for blind guys, I guess, but they’re not going to be checking you out in the locker room anyway). I see and touch a penis every single day of my life; I am intimately familiar with what one looks like. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some man meat, but there is more to being attracted to dudes than penis. So, even if you carefully insure that no gay/bi eye should ever spy your junk, we might very well be looking at your chest. Or your arms. Or your legs. Or your face. All of which are commonly exposed in public, never mind locker rooms. Do you propose spending the rest of your life behind a pixellated screen, save for when you are in the presence of only women or men who can certify that they have never had so much as a passing gay thought?

p.s. You really ought to try to address the questions **Czarcasm** has been asking you repeatedly. Try to use more descriptive and thoughtful explanations than just “straight rights” and “feelings”.

Clearly the correct approach is to stand in the middle of the locker room and announce loudly “OKAY, I’M GOING TO GO TAKE A SHOWER NOW AND I DON’T WANT ANY OF YOU QUEERS LOOKING AT MY PENIS, ALL RIGHT?!?”

That should solve your problem.

I also wouldnt be offended if a woman demanded separate changing rooms from me. I would respect her wish, and go along with separate rooms. Why is this so difficult for you gays to accept??

No.
Your imagination making you uncomfortable does not justify segregating anyone. If your daydreams make you so uncomfortable, either get professional help or avoid situations where you are tempted to imagine unwanted sexual attention.

Well, if anyone asked to be away from you, I wouldn’t really blame them…

And, of course, it’s entirely different when a social minority asks for something to help them out because they have legitimate harassment complaints vs someone in a social majority demanding minorities to do things because feelings.

(Mostly straight) woman here, I have never felt threatened by a sexual/romantic advance from a lesbian.

I figure that anyone checking me out naked would also check me out in clothes. To me it’s no big difference. I don’t associated nudity with sexuality, nor do I find most people’s nude bodies sexually attractive, and while I know some other people feel differently, I mostly pay attention to my own feelings while in a state of undress. The only thing that makes me feel awkward about being naked in front of others is when other people are awkward about it, or act inappropriately. Thankfully those times have been few, for me (which is good, because I’ve been naked in front of other people much more than the average).

Gawping is rude, no matter whether the person doing it is attracted, disgusted, or just a clueless stare-r gazing slack-jawed at someone with an appearance outside of what they might usually see. It doesn’t matter if I’m wearing food-stained sweats, in a heels and dress, or nude.

Women do not have rooms separated from other gay women, so you are, in fact, asking for a special right.

I have a great sense of humor! That’s how I know you aren’t funny.
For example, this:

is HILARIOUS!!

Look homophobe, as I said in the first reply- there have been gay men in every locker room, changing room, bathroom, whatever, since forever. You’ve already changed with gay people, and you’re just fine. This proves that your fear is stupid and unfounded, and we don’t restrict other people’s movements based on stupid unfounded fears. If you can’t be around other people, stay home. Trust me, no one will miss you.

I mean, I don’t like clowns, so you know what? I stay out of the fucking circus. I don’t go and then throw a little fit like a baby because some dude with a red nose looked at me. Grown-ups manage their shit. Grow up.

Speaking as a homo who has been in the locker room of a number of gyms, I don’t give a rats ass about your pecker. I just want to shower, change clothes and get on with my day.

**miss elizabeth** , you should stand up for your rights as a clownophobe. Go to that circus, and demand a special section that will be shrouded each and every time a clown is visible in the ring. I mean, there’s no reason that you, as a clownophobe, should have to miss out on the joy of the circus, is there!

Since this is NOT the pit, I’d like to know if hate speech like this is allowed.

Subtract “gay” and insert “black”. Do the rules here prohibit racist/inflammatory hate rants (outside the Pit)? I’m asking – newer poster here, and don’t know.

Also don’t know if it would be appropriate for me to call Esco out for being an angry, narrow-minded, possibly closeted, hate-filled bag of vomitus verbosus, but I’m taking the chance anyway.

If you believe that a post is against the rules, click the little red exclamation point thingy in the upper right corner of the post. You’ll be taken to a page where you can leave a note for the moderators about why you think the post is against the rules. It will be looked at and dealt with by the mods. You aren’t really supposed to post about it in a thread like that; it’s considered junior modding. But this post kinda is too, so I’m going to stop now.

Best of luck on the boards! 🙂
