Missed the 5 minute edit window, but wanted to add: This was actually the case in a gym I belonged to once. Although it was male/female segregated, the male changing room had an open shower/change space, plus 10 or so private cubicles for those who wished to use them for whatever reason. I was very glad of these myself as I suffer from quite bad psoriasis at the base of my spine, and I felt more comfortable in private. ---

I have a better idea that will solve this entire problem. Think about it before you say no, everybody. Separate locker rooms for homophobes. Thoughts? ---

No need for separate changing rooms for gays and straights, just install a dozen or so separate shower stalls, thats all. Problem solved. They gays wont feel like they’re being segregated, and I’m happy too 🙂 ---

No, because the homophobes would not be required to use the seperate-but-equal changing room, but it would be there in case one is so phobic that he needs to be seperated from any potential homosexual contact. ---

I have a problem sharing a locker room with creeps. If you don’t think creeps hang out in locker rooms then you haven’t been in many. I don’t know their orientation beyond creep so I can’t say it’s a gay or straight issue. It would have to be an emergency for me to shower at the gym so it’s no too big a deal. ---
