First you throw out a bit of vague anti-gay sentiment to test the waters, then you quiz your buddies and family members about homosexuality, then you say some blatantly hateful things so you can really gauge how those closest to you would feel if you came out, then you go public with your “phobia” in order to make it clear to everyone how very NOT GAY!1!! you are. In a couple years you’ll experiment in college, or a girlfriend will catch you watching gay porn on her laptop, or you’ll claim a good buddy took advantage of you while drunk. Maybe all three. But you can skip all this time wasted on hate and angst and just come out already. Straight teenagers aren’t concerned with pecker-lookers. They are concerned with grades, dates, proms, sports, movies, music, and the bajillion things to do online that have nothing to do with a group of persons who they aren’t consumed with focusing on and chatting about. Not gay? Then shaddup. Gay? Come on in, the water’s fine. ---

Well, yeah. It makes perfect sense to be completely okay with sharing a locker room with someone for perhaps _years_ before you know their sexual orientation, but once they drop the bomb that they’re gay, all bets are off boys! Separate but equal is the only course of _mature_ action, dontcha know? ---

Do not make this about someone coming out. That’s offensive and hurtful and stupid. You could have avoided the whole thing if you’d always framed it that way. “Do you like changing in front of people? Should locker rooms provide privacy for the shy?” I think people would have overwhelmingly supported that. Unless of course, the _point_ is to bash gay people and act like an asshole. ---

By the way, did you see **Gyrate** ’s post upthread? Where your prize example of “liberal pinko hypocrisy” was completely eviscerated and turned on its head? I don’t see where you have responded to that. And I have to wonder if you believe that you have won over even one person in either of these threads? There were a couple early on who sort of agreed that there is an issue, but they haven’t been back to defend you. Why do you think that is? These are mostly rhetorical points, because I don’t believe that you really care about logic or reason. I think you just want to see how long you can string this out. Good luck with that.
