Tell me about it. Call me sentimental, but I intend to stay away from transport/transmogrifiers that don’t operate more like “pour from one container into another.” I guess that’s more like…Analog Science Fiction, in Fact. ( )
I think I heard an argument tacked on to a teleporter poll on these very boards, once; what if, instead of the original “you” being destroyed simultaniously while you were being teleported, they just waited until the process completed, and shot the original in the head? Or better yet, they waited until the teleport completed, then a trap door opened up in the booth and they grabbed the original to use as a slave laborer, to recoup the cost of teleporting you?
Does my new robot body still get to eat? because I loves me some kitchen time. And since my kitchen time frequently leads to happy bedroom times, does my new robot body … you know … have highly attractive and useful boy parts?
Yeah, I’d be worried about losing something in the process. I’d rather just replace parts as they fail.
Or, can they just find some fluid that could supply oxygen to my fleshy brain to keep it alive. Then install some I/O jacks on my brain stem that would control the robot.
