Sure. Why not? Total incompetence never prevented the likes of Dan Snyder and James Dolan from turning massive profits despite running their franchises directly into the ground (and kept going). ---

Sure, if I had a billion bucks or so to waste then why not? I guess baseball, I’m a long time Phillies fan and I wouldn’t mind owning that team. It’s not like they can disappoint me more than they already have. I’d like to attract real team players and coaches that want to spend a significant time on one team, and give them time to develop. And I don’t care if it doesn’t work out because I’m so rich I can waste a billion dollars on a baseball team. ---

Evilly, _slowly_ rubbing my hands, up and down, so that the fingertips slightly _curl_ over the others with each, evil, rub, as I orchestrate my Loria-like raping of those worthless pawns, screwing them, HARD, as well as all those bloody ignoroids for fans, screwing them too, _badly_. Oh and screw taxes too. Yes, let me. LET ME RUN A TEAM! _Yeessss!!_ ::dancing eyebrows:: [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/would-you-ever-want-to-purchase-a-sports-club/855682.md?page=1)
