If I get, say, a mixed bag of coinage back in change, I’m pretty deft at palming the quarters, dimes and nickels, then throwing the pennies in the tip jar with enough force to make it sound like I deposited all my change. The servers think I’ve given them a nice tip and may feel compelled to give me an extra pickle slice the next time I order. And, the people behind me in line, seeing me deposit a “sizable” tip may feel guilt tripped into leaving a real sizable tip when they pay. It’s win/win!

Ok, I’m kidding. In reality, I typically leave all my change unless service was poor.
