# Would you laugh at somebody who bought and employed a self-censoring DVD player?

I would buy one but I don’t think I would use it all the time. Especially on some comedy movies because it is just darn funnier with the bad words. Action movies I could see using it because bad language doesn’t do much for action sequences.

I was listening to a call-in show and some older guy wanted to know how to edit a tape so he could take out something. (This was about two years ago, I’m thinking) but how no one would help him do it because it was altering the product or something. Kinda vague here, not important to the story.

The radio help guy asked what he wanted to edit .

“The swear word in Titantic.”

The.swear.word.in.Titanic. repeated the host, dumbfounded.

" So my grand child - -7- could watch it with me."

The host suggested he use the mute button or a fast forward.  
All I could think of, he won’t allow his grandchild to hear “damn” if that was the word. It sure wasn’t corksucker. , but watching a thousand people die by drowning in freezing water is ok. And subjecting a 7 year old to Celine Dion is fine as well?  
It’s his call, and as a parent I understand, but …c’mon. Titanic? I’m with Snoopy on this one.
