Sometimes I feel like I’m on _everyone’s_ ignore list. That’s probably not the case, but I would be interested to know how many Dopers have me on their ignore list. I don’t want to know who, just how many. If it’s a significant number, then I’d know I needed to change something. It’s unlikely that the Mods are going to release this information, but if it were available, would you want to know how many people are ignoring you? ---

Sometimes I think I would, but then if I found out that it was a lot, I’d be all depressed. I’ve made comments or suggestions here, where the only reaction I got from them was the sound of the echo bouncing off the back wall of the Internet. It makes me wonder if anybody even saw what I wrote. Thing is, I’ve been here for just over a thousand posts, and I don’t even know anybody here. It’s kind of like I’m typing to see my own words (which is not the case). ---

I don’t know if I’d want to know. If I knew, I’d keep wondering who it was and why. Not knowing means that I wonder if anyone is doing it. Hmm. Actually, considering how boring most of what I say is, and how little impact I have here, I’d probably be pretty safe knowing. ---

I’m sorry, did you guys say something? I kid, I kid! I’ve never really thought about being on or using the ignore list before. And from what I’ve seen from what the three of you post (and I do recognize all three of you), I wouldn’t worry about it. I can’t see most Dopers putting someone on their “ignore” list unless that poster is truly obnoxious. Though I certainly can relate to feeling invisible at times. ---

Well, I know that I’m on at least one person’s list, but I’m not that concerned about who it is. I assume that if they feel the need to ignore me, we probably don’t have that much in common anyhow. Beyond that, I don’t think I would care too much to find out. I suppose if I found out I was on 4,000 people’s ignore list that would give me a pause… ---

**yellowval** , I think your username comes from a store that doesn’t exist where I live (don’t know why I think that), but every time I see your name it makes me think of the guy in a commercial awhile back who was showing a friend his vacation pictures, and in every one he was wearing a yellow gallon milk jug on his head. I think the yellow jug was supposed to protect the milk from light, and he figured it would protect his bald head from sunburn. So, you are not invisible to me – you are some guy with a yellow milk jug on his head. ---

I’ve never really thought about it. I’m sure I’m on someone’s ignore list, as there are some fairly logical reasons to view me as a nutjob. I’ve got some out-there opinions and I say some out-there stuff sometimes. I know a lot of people think of me negatively on #straightdope, at least. _shrug_ My posts usually aren’t entirely ignored, and when they are it doesn’t really bother me; I generally chalk it up to people finding the other posts more relevant/important. ---

I’d be curious but, honestly, I’ve never thought about it. If I were to guess, I’d say I’m not on anyone’s list but not because I’m all cool and stuff but moreso that I don’t register on most people’s radar. I mean, other than being a Trekkie, does anyone really know much about me? I’ve never been that notable despite my prolific posting. ---

I never used the ignore list feature. Seems sort of silly, like sticking my fingers in my ears and singing “la-la-la-I don’t hear youuuu!!” But given the option to see whether anyone did have me on their ignore list, I’d say no. What would it change? ---
