Okay, heres the deal. You get a 10% discount on all purchases you make for the rest of your life. It’ll cost you the finger of your choice. Would you do it? Would you do two fingers for 20%? more? ---

I’d lose them all and live like a king for free! Wahoooooooo! But really… if it includes rent payments, real estate and such… then I’d do 2 fingers for 20% off. ---

You could lose the one and still live like a king for free. Just buy and sell your way to a fortune with your extra beefy margin. Hell, the heck with 10 points; what big business wouldn’t love an extra 1 point on their competition? Can I shave off my pinky tip for 1%? ---

Two (of my choice) for 20%…knowing that at some point I’d wish I had gone for 30%. ---

absolutely - i’d lose the little finger off of my left hand. i’d get my 10% discount and tell everyone that i’d lost the finger in some humourous but incredibly cool accident. ---

Absolutely not. 10% more purchasing power (or is that 11.11%?) vs. losing a finger - you must be joking. Would you lose a finger for a job that pays 10%/11.11% more? For an annual increment or so? I can’t even think how the extra money would change my life in any significant way. ---

I assume we can’t resell stuff (or OF COURSE) and we just get 10% more. Let’s look at it this way - say I earn $2mil in a lifetime. Then 10% is approx a one off of $200k. Be awfully tempting. I mean, I don’t use my left-ring finger for, well, anything. Can I have it removed painlessly? Can I have a cool story about how I lost it? If I cut all my fingers (incl thumbs) off do I get a 100% discount or 65% discount? ---

I have enough problems handling things with 10 fingers. I’d spend my days picking things up off the floor if I was dealing with missing fingers. Plus I’d have to learn to type all over again. Nope. Money ain’t _that_ big a deal. ---

I am in the absolutely camp. Until we get a ruling on resale, I am assuming I just get a 10% discount on anything I buy. I would buy lots and lots of travelers checks. Say….a million dollars worth, no fee at AAA so it would cost me 900k….there is 100k profit right there. Or buy into some nice money market funds for the same effect. Playing the stock market, as long as you avoid too volatile stocks would be a no brainer. I can see the headline now “Nine-fingered Trillionaire Hires Bill Gates for Pool Boy” ---
