Sex or no sex, there’s something kinda whore-y about marrying someone for money. So, no. And he and Katie were married for, what, 5 years? That’s a long time to be in a sham relationship, and no getting some on the side due to the intense media spotlight. Katie Holmes always looked a little sad, too. It doesn’t seem like it was very good for her. ---

What I want most in a spouse is someone who puts my needs first. I’m a little lonely and bitter right now–the post-Holiday blahs, but still . . . I’m pretty sure Tom Cruise puts Tom Cruise first, either Suri or Scientology second, the other third, his career fourth and any potential new bride somewhere about fifth. Maybe, if she’s lucky. I can see why some people would like his money, but, frankly, at this time, what I want most is to be really and truly important to someone, and I don’t think that’s likely with a celebrity. ---

I think that’s the thing. He’s a goodlooking, known-for-his-kindness, extremely wealthy, talented guy (if a bit too fanatical about certain things), but the problem is his partner will be far from his priority. Sure his public displays of affection are well known (_bounce\*\*bounce_bounce\*) but they don’t seem genuine, especially as he divorces like clockwork. Maybe if he comes out of closet he might be more sincere. ---

If he really loves me, maybe I could get him to convert away from Scientology. That would damage the church’s mainstream credibility, making it a noble act. But I don’t think I could stomach marrying him. ---

Not interested in him one bit, although he was very good in _Interview With the Vampire_\*\*. He’s too wacky and he’s probably very boring and shallow too. I could be wrong, but I’d imagine that’s what happens to you after years of being in the public eye and having to maintain an image.
