Would You Pay $500 for Concert Tickets?

If Andy Partridge overcame his stage fright and XTC toured, I’d pay… oh, let’s say, $250 to see them. If he overcame his stagefright, and Dave Gregory rejoined the group, I’d gladly pay $350 to see them. Now if Andy Partridge overcame his stagefright, and Dave Gregory rejoined the group, AND they managed to get Terry Chambers and Barry Andrews to tour with them, then, THEN I’d pay $500 to see them.

Oh, and if they found a way to ressurect Joe Strummer and the Clash toured, I’d pay $500 to see that. I figure the extra money would be worth it considering the zombie technology that would be involved.

That’s probably it.

Maybe.

Not in the sense they seem to mean, which is just for a good ticket to any old concert.

But maybe for any ticket to a really good concert. Like your favorite band playing a small club. Where tickets are nearly impossible to get because of the fame combined with the size of the venue. That might be worth it, as a special once-in-a-lifetime treat.

Dude, if I were ever to change my sig line, this would be it.
