Mmmm, chunky pungent blue cheese! And stinky aged Brie! And yummy, slimy Camembert! I love all kinds of cheese! (I can even handle Cheez[sup]TM[/sup]!) But I would not eat bugs unless my life depended on it. And I am not going to open the cheese mite link, and I have already forgotten that I even saw anything on the subject by Scrib…Scrub…what was his name? I’m blanking it all out, I’m blanking it all out… Ah, blessed ignorance! (I don’t want to know how they make sausage, either.) ---

Well, it looks like the score is currently about 25-3 in favour of cheese (thanks **AquaPura** and **bluethree** for your support) But I still think you are all mad. I will have to check out some of the books you have mentioned too 🙂 Might be good to put in our kitchen when we are living together (for those times when we are entertaining and such \ ) I’ll check back later to see what anyone else thinks. We had a “cheese party” in French class, and I tried about 10 different kinds of cheese and liked them all. The bad thing is that French cheese is not always cheap. I do like cold cheese better tham warm and melted cheese. ---

Cheese, please. Put it down to cultural differences, but I’m not comfortable about the idea of munching on bugs. This kinda triggered an internal debate: **Brain** says, “people in other cultures eat insects, people report that bugs taste like (popcorn, oysters, nuts, shrimp), bugs are nutritious.” **Stomach** (which employs a much more basic level of reasoning) says “bugs = YUCK!” **Brain** : “You like shrimp, right? What’s the difference? Try to think of bugs as little shrimp.” **Stomach** : “I like shrimp when it’s de-veined and de-shelled. So bugs = little shrimp + intestines + heads + bug assholes + exoskeleton. Feh. You and **Scribble** can Bite the Wax Tadpole[sup]tm[/sup]” Sorry **Scribble** , that was just my stomach talking. MMmmmmm…cheese parties! My friends and I once held the most amazeing cheese party. We had all kind of cheese…creamy laughing cow cubes (with fun trivia!), brie galore, fondue, ultra-sharp cheddar, gouda, dilled havarti, cheese balls, cheeses that we didn’t even know the names of. We even had cheese fudge. All of this held under the detrious of one of our earlier parties, where we inflated (and exploded) a baloon with EZCheez. Now, could you really have that much fun with maggots? ---
