After reading through the thread and seeing the clarification for living as norms, I’d change my vote if it were possible. I’d be happy with her using her powers to whatever extent she was before having met me. I’m pretty sure that family fun time would include trolling some of the supernatural investigation groups though. ---

I’d marry Sam even if she didn’t have powers. She was smoking hot. But add on the powers and oh baby. I’d still want to work but I’d never have to vacation because every night and weekend we could out to dinner and have sex somewhere exotic if we wanted to. I’d be one happy dude. Vacation would be staying at home with my hot wife and kids. ---

This isn’t much different from finding out your spouse is a mega-millionaire. Anyway, I’d be entirely happy with her continuing to use her powers as she sees fit. I’d ask her to not read my mind except in an emergency. Given each child has only a 10% chance of being gifted, I guess I’d better plan on having a large family. ---

Sam comes up with some clever ideas for the campaign, and Darren is initially.thrilled. But then he suspects she used witchcraft, and won’t use them. She denies it, and he calls her a liar. ---

It’s a little like marrying someone, who, thereupon, tells you, “By the way, I’m filthy stinking rich. I’ve got several billion dollars in assets, inherited from my grandfather.” Okay… And this is a bad thing how? Can I quit my job and you’ll give me an allowance? And we’re still husband and wife in all the usual ways? Great. Now, let’s talk about using magic to spice up the sex… (Anyone familiar with 4chan can probably see where I’m headed…) ---

Stay married, live as norms to a degree but certainly make the best of the magic. No banning it, use it to our mutual benefit all the time, including in the bedroom.🙂 ---

I voted “happy living off her power” with the caveat that mind-control powers are a no-no on me or anyone else. I’ll sit her down in front of Buffy Season 6 (_All The Way_ and _Tabula Rasa_ especially) as to why. Basically “I’m cool with magic as long as you’re in no way at all like Willow Rosenberg” will be a rider on our marriage contract. ---

I would ask Sam to keep on being the man that I’d chosen to marry in the first place. Yes, we would need to agree on the meaning of “ethical” but I suspect that this was a conversation we’d already had before I agreed to marry him. I would be happy to have him use his powers to make our life easier, as long as it did not harm anyone else. If we use Sam’s powers to win the lottery, have we kept someone else, who maybe really needed the money more than we did, from winning? Don’t know. But, if we use Sam’s powers to win a big lottery and then set up a charity foundation that helps others, it’d probably be a win-win all the way around.
