Sure, if I had children I’d support any legal career path that my child wanted to pursue. Like the choice of marriage partner, I don’t think this is the sort of thing where parents really get to have an opinion (except in extreme cases, like the child wanting to marry someone abusive or pursue a career as a hired assassin).
