# Would you use the Progressive Snapshot tracking tool to lower your insurance rate?

It needs to register when people change lanes or turn without signaling, so it can double their insurance.

Nope. I drive a Ford Mustang, I do speed (though not egregiously so, but 5-10mph over the limit on the highway), almost all of my driving is during what they define as “medium risk” periods.

That said, I used to have one of the big auto insurance companies as a client, and I know a lot about Snapshot and similar services. I guarantee you that every major auto insurer will be using something similar within the next 5 years, and will be pressuring current policyholders to use them.

(Dammit! I made almost the exact same post in this thread last year! 😉 )

I would need to modify my driveway entry method to reduce the hard braking, though I usually don’t need to brake but get up a steep hill that slows me down, which I would assume would go over that limit.
